I just finished a play through of the FTB normal map 1.2.5 and downloaded the Insanity map for 1.2.5 and every about 2 to 3 seconds the frame rate goes from 30 to 0 then takes a second to go back up. and every 3 seconds it has a major lag spike. I've tried re-installing the mod pack and re-downloading the map but nothing works, it seems sort of unplayable with the lag spikes. In the first map i had no problems like this other than the Transmutation tablet was really laggy. Is there any way to fix the lag in the Insanity map?

Thanks,
Zac

Yes the laptop seems a bit weak. What fps did u get when playing the normal version of the map?

Playing with mods is more resource demanding than vanilla.

Hello Zac.

I have verified what the issue is, your CPU is just not cut for it.
The difference between the normal map and the insanity map, is that the insanity map had a LOT of redstone removed and it was condensed into logic gates which uses more CPU than the previous map, there's your issue, you don't have enough CPU.

well, you are using a cpu that starts to show its age.
Heck, the whole computer is quite old, so you might want to take it easy with the heavy maps and mods, where even recent computer lag a bit with the late game installations (milking, logistic system, many machines running)
What is currently halting your game is wireless redstone I think, because it is quite heavily used in the monument, and it seems to be the most consuming of what is already in the map at the start.
