So I'm going to build a mass fab, and am wondering what way is the best to produce big amounts of EU. I thought about solar panels, but is there another way?

Edit: I have Gregtech but no power bridge mod.

I haven't messed with EU generation in a while. Last time I used EU, Ultimate Hybrid Solar panels were one of the easiest ways to make a lot of energy quickly. That, and geothermal generators.

Nuclear reactor, huge amount of geothermal generators, get Gregtech and drown yourself in a bathtub, make something awesome from another mod and use multiple* energy bridges to convert to EU.

*because there's a limit on the EU/p you can convert depending on which producer you use.

Oh, or get 125'000 iron ingots and make an EV wind turbine from CompactSolars.

As EU sources go the advanced solar panel tree is still the best and most cost effective way to go for EU power.

Thanks, I'll propably go with solar power as i don't want to blow up my base.

what modpack is this, and what do you have in it?
if you have rotarycraft/reactorcraft/big reactors and powerconverters, do the following:

rotarycraft reactor, any of them, or a decent size big reactor and its turbine.
turn into RF (for the rotarycraft ones), run through a power converter.
done.

or take the wimps way out and spam solar.

If you are using gregtech, practically everything can be turned into power in some sort of fashion. If you have MFR farms running and producing sludge, send it to a sludge boiler. The sludge boiler has a high chance to produce clay. The clay can be be turned into lithium. and the lithium can be turned into fuel. Steam is also a good option with gregtech. Last time I used GT, I added the steam upgrades to all my normal machines and ran everything off steam directly --much simpler wiring (the MV and HV systems couldn't get enough steam through a single fluiduct connection though).

The nether bees can produce phosphor, which when combined with sand, can produce lava. A few alvearies with them can produce tons of phosphor. Take the lava and dump into the upgraded geothermal generators from GT. 30k eu/tick.

I often run a mish-mash of power generators with GT. There are so many things that can be turned into power, it's kinda unreal. Between the industrial centrifuge and chemical reactor, almost everything can be processed into something else more beneficial. GT has lots and lots of steps to producing items though, so it is very rarely a one step process to good power generation.

I have the exact opposite problem. I have thousands upon thousands of uranium (processed) but why build a nuclear reactor? I have nothing to use all that EU power for.

Monster pack. Do I have UU matter in this pack? I don't even know, I guess I could do what OP wants to do, the mass fab thing. I just get so bored by end-game, I haven't even bothered to look.

After doing the math, my ReactorCraft pebble bed would give 381,571 EU/t (108 Cores). That might be enough. If you have Gregtech that might get you one piece every rl week. :)

Btw, thats 745 HV solars or 186 EV Windmills.

Punctuation's a funny thing.

I'm pretty sure my friend @malicious_bloke is anti-GT, so I'm pretty sure he didn't want that comma there.

I like this version better though, as it sort of currently reads: "Imagine there's no gregtech, resulting in making the modpacks crap."

true nuff, sucka :)
