Hey guys - my first post on the forums! :D
My problem:
I have a decent computer...
AMD FX-4100 (quad core) @ 3.6GHz
12GB 1333Mhz Ram
XFX Radeon HD 7870 Core Edition 2GB @ 1GHz
... and Feed The Beast lags like hell on Direwolf20 modpack. I get around 10-20fps
My PC runs BF3 on Ultra, Bioshock Infinite on highest settings, Tomb Raider on highest settings, Minecraft vanilla on full Optifine settings at about 70fps - to name a few that run flawlessly!

Things I have tried:
Using Optifine (all versions)
Using 64-bit Java, using 32-bit.
Giving FTB 8Gb RAM all the way down to 1Gb RAM
Deleting entire Direwolf20 modpack
Deleting FTB launcher
Running launcher as admin
Running launcher in compatibility mode (all)
Dumbing all settings down and all the way up
Closed any unnecessary background services
Removing Optifine gives me about 40fps whilst standing still but is really really unstable whilst walking around. It drops to around 15 fps. I have tried limiting the framerate etc...
Updating graphics card drivers - already at the latest.
Reinstalling graphics drivers.

So yeah. I've tried quite a lot!
What do you guys think? Dodgy release maybe?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks....Daniel.

This is a common problem, it's usually caused by your graphics card not recognising FTB as something it needs to run with. Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix this with your model of graphics card, but there should be settings for the graphics card allowing you to choose whether it runs with certain programs or not. You will need to set it to run with FTB in those settings.

You can set the video card options from the control panel. Open the control panel, and open catalist control center (Or something simaliar to it) and you'll find the settings in there.

Hi,
thanks for the help on this. :D
I have set Feed The Beast to run with the graphics card and it seems to work after joining the world and waiting for about 1 minute for the world to load.
Thanks again.... Daniel.
