So I built a crucible furnace and ingot caster to process my rutile ore. This much is fine, I have a stack and a half of impure titanium ingots now.

Then I looked up the process for purifying them, I need to melt down 24 blocks of limestone for quicklime then ladle all that into a vat of water.

And from this I get ONE magnesiish dust. Am I really going to need to repeat this (rather laborious and resource intensive) process a hundred-odd times to sort out all my current collection of titanium?

Or is there a more efficient way?

fluiducts, pipes, heat resistant bottles, stick vat next to the crucible furnace with auto-eject fluids on.

Yeah, the process for getting titanium is a bit expensive on Limestone. Not that it's a really preferable option, but IIRC you could just process it via GT rather then Mariculture/TiC.
Yes, you can process it via TiC, to a degree. You can't(last I checked, anyway) melt down limestone in a Smeltery, but you can melt down rutile just fine.

And yeah, if you're using a ladle to move all that quicklime, you're gonna have a bad time.
