Mapwriter turns black

Hello everyone. I need some help. I have started to play direwolf20 modpack (also I'm really new at minecraft as well) and it's a blast, but for the last couple of days, my map is acting really odd. First it started to reset itself. Ok no biggie. I would just run around and everything would be fine. Now it's mainly just black. It will try to render something, but will turn black after a few moments.

I have asked 4 other people I play and only one of them has a working.

How do I go about fixing this? Any and all help would be awesome.

I thought I find a problem, but now I'm not so sure.

On line 518 of the pastebin file I found 2014-01-12 16:07:02 [WARNING] [MapWriter] Mod MapWriter is missing a pack.mcmeta file, things may not work well.

I also decided to put FTB on my laptop and on line 516 of that pastbin file 2014-01-12 16:07:02 [WARNING] [MapWriter] Mod MapWriter is missing a pack.mcmeta file, things may not work well, but that map works great.

Alright I removed all the file to FTB and still have a black map or it renders for a sec then goes black. Anyone have any idea?

Your playing Direwolf20 1.6.4 pack with only 1GB of RAM? Try allocating at least 2 up to 5GB.

Yea I'm playing Direwolf20 1.6.4, but using 3GB of RAM

Your first and only log shows that only 1024M or 1GB is being allocated. Check the global variables for Java to ensure that there it is not setting it to 1GB. Look here for more info.

and as for the issue of your black mapwriter it is because you are in underground mode key "U" if you have not changed it will take you out of underground mode

OK a quick update. I guess when I redid all my minecraft and FTB I forgot to put it back on 3GB of RAM and yes it was in underground mode. Thank you so much for helping me.
