Map Generator acting up?

Seems like the game will pick 1-2 different biomes, and only make those appear.

On a friend's server. We only can find grasslands or snow biomes, no matter how far we walk, there's snow everywhere.

For me, playing locally, only red desert and huge forests, after walking a lot, I only found ocean, later, more red desert and huge forests on the other side.

As far as I've tested, this happened to me on both FTB ultimate and FTB Yogcraft packs.

What kind of files would you need to check out this error? What can I do?
I'm quite lost about what could solve this issue...
 
Err.... you can start by posting your logs (server/client side if possible) to pastebin.com and linking the paste here.

Also, since this sounds like an "installation" issue, I'm gonna quote the one and only Ashzification:
