Make it so we can play FTB if the servers are down.

Why not make FTB like the other modpack that is like it so we can play in offline mode? Minecraft lets you do it, why cant Feed the beast?

I believe they have it that way to hinder people who use pirated copies of Minecraft, which I can get behind. What I cannot get behind is being unable to use the FTB launcher when there's a problem with THEIR end being online.

We actually just fixed this. But we can't get the new update out to you because of the repository being down.
So, hopefully it won't happen again, but this time we are still waiting till creeperhost fixed their problems.

Thanks for the offer, but we get a massive amount of bandwidth from creeperhost for free.
This is the first time we have had a major problem with them and it will take a lot more to make us spend the amount of money necessary to support the downloads of this pack from a paid host.

This really should be fixed, I remember reading a thread here somewhere regarding this (offline mode), I don't know when and if its going to be implemented though.

I personally just updated to the 1.0.8 version and it worked fine. Got it from a Jenkins site. Not sure if I'm supposed to link it or not. Link is on these forums

I think I'm going to have to go donate to Multi-MC now. This isn't the first time it's helped me out.

Just have to remember to copy the map back when FTB fixes itself. I agree there's no reason to keep people from playing when the FTB servers are down. As the multi-mC thing proves the online only mode doesn't stop someone who's pirated it from playing it, all the online only function does is create an extra barrier for us legit players when 3rd party servers have an issue. And honestly I'm getting tired of having to jump through hoops due to added security 'because of the pirates' when they're laughing at it and playing anyway while the rest of us struggle.
