Hello guys, I'll try to explain my problem as best I can. First of all Im running. Mac OS X 10.7.5, laptop 4GB RAM Intel Core i5.
Minecraft v. 1.4.2
MCP v7.1.9
FML v4.2.18.433
Minecraft Forge 6.0.1.355
38 Mods, No added.
local server. Nothing special. Started off with xms 1024M and xmx 1024M worked perfect, until I entered nether
I recently downloaded FTB mod pack & server from this site & started playing. Everything went very well until I made a nether portal. When I went through the portal I got a loading screen saying downloading terrain as usual but then the server crashed from "java has run out of memory". I stopped the server & gave it acess to 1GB more RAM than before, from xms1024 to xmx2024. When I logged in after restarting the server I found myself suffocated in a nether block mountain. I quickly changed to creative mode to prevent death. After that I "mined" myself up to the surface which was a bit further up.
To get back to the overworld I made a nether portal since I had none when I logged in after restarting the server. I made the portal at the same place which I found myself suffocated in. When I ported back it first said "downloading terrain" but then again crashed. When I logged in I was suffocated in a block near my base but some levels down of course.
The first thing I tried was reinstalling the whole mod pack so I deleted all my FTB files. I just kept my server world & downloaded a server Beta.jar which I replaced with my old. I logged in and went trough the portal which made it crash again. So after another restart I found myself in the nether in the same place as before, tho not suffocated (since I've mined out abit). To make a long story short I died in the nether, (I switched to survival and died from fall dmg, huge hole I didnt saw). Now Im just falling through the "world" when I press respawn. Im stuck & cannot get back from it.
The server runs perfectly fine without errors as long as I dont enter the nether. But as you know I am stuck at the moment and cannot even play in the overworld. Would be very grateful for any solutions/answers to these problems. Thanks!
