Summary of the problem Magical Wood Wont craft

What is the bug? when i put in bookshelf and gold ingot into crafting table of the crafting grid it won't let me craft the magical wood

It has to be done in a vanilla crafting table. Try that way.

Confirmed, unable to craft magical wood, in crafting station and crafting table. Since it has a recipe, I'll assume you're meant to be able to craft it

Gave myself more (used a stack of bottles of enchanting instead of just giving myself 5 levels) and it worked on both crafting tables

Last I checked the recipe cost 6 levels
