I was watching Direwolf's Lets Play the other day (for the life of me, I can't remember which episode) and he was using this wand that (to me looked like it) would turn blocks within a certain radius into stone. He was going around in his basement area hitting chunks of the walls that had bits of dirt and random ore in it and it was turning it into smooth stone.
This is awesome!
