Magic Farm 2 - Mariculture Issues

Decided to try out the Mariculture mod in Magic Farm 2...but I seem to have an issue.

NEI shows to make polished logs you put an oak log in a vat of fish oil for 45s. I've tried this, and it's just not working. The wiki and a video I saw showed some kind of freezer, but I can't find it anywhere in-game.

Is polished wood just something you can't create, or am I doing something seriously wrong? I'm playing the "Recommended" version of MF2, and haven't added any mods. (I did disable Gravestones cause they irritated me, but that's the only change I've made.)

I've been playing with Mariculture a bit myself but don't have the exact answer for you. (at work, cant test) But I know the Industrial Freezer was removed in version 1.2.x. The new in game mariculture manuals should show you what you need to do in order to make the logs. I think they are in the one called "The Factory"

According to what I can see, I need to submerse an oak log in a vat of fish oil -but I literally just left one sitting for like an hour and nothing happened.

EDIT - Okay, now I'm super confused - putting a stick in the vat works, but uses up most of the liquid...can the vat hold more than it looks like it can?

AHH!!! YES!! Still at work so can't give you numbers. But you need to make storage upgrades to increase the amount it can hold. You'll need to see just how much you need to do a log.

Assuming Magic Farm 2 has the somewhat recent version that added in game books, it also has the NEI Plugin for it. Mariculture is a bit complicated, but trust me, it's awesome. Just wait until you have a Dragon Fish breeding pair getting you Dragon Eggs...

The 1 x 1 Vat only holds 6000mB of liquid. To do logs you need to have 30000mB of Fish Oil. You'll need to make a 2x2 Vat. They can hold up to 30000mB. 30000mB may seem like a lot. But it's cheaper than doing sticks individually. The instructions for the fish oil stuff is in the fishing book though, which you can get from just simply crafting a reed rod.

...vats have upgrades? *goes to play with this* XD

Loving it so far, although fishing by hand is a bit of a pain to get all the fish oil I need.
