Magic 2 Pack Ender Pearl Shortage

So I recently started a magic 2 map and I'm finding it difficult to obtain even 1 ender pearl. The problem seems to the frequency of the rainbow forest biome. No monsters spawn in them at all, only peck's. Not even zombie's. I dont know if it's bad luck with generation but all I seem to find is jungle/rainbow/magic forests. Found a few deserts but they still dont spawn. Has anyone else run into this problem?

I having a similar issue. Regular mobs are spawning every except in my mob spawner. For some strange reason only peck are spawning inside it.

I also tried the mob spawner idea, made a special room in hopes of getting an enderman to spawn, nothing but pecks.

Still no pearls, thinking my best bet is mystcraft. Gonna give it a shot

Best way to find enderman beside going to the end is to find the eerie biomes. They have increase spawns there.

Thx for the tip, just so happens I got a mystcraft age with that biome on like try #5. took me about 5 minutes to get 4 pearls to make some seeds. hura!
