Luincraft is Back!
The one and only softcore PVP server is back and better than ever!
Now with bukkit, and all the excellence that entails
Build your base, Create to protect it while you raid your enemies, and never have to worry about your home being burned to the ground. Evade and disarm the traps of your enemies, hack into their computers and steal everything that isn't bolted down (and nothing else!)
Band together with your friends and create a safe little village where players can trade in peace by threat of the blade!
Build a huge mansion taunting enemies to loot it while being completely surrounded by force fields (just be cautious of the guy hiding in a hole watching you enter your password into the access panel)
What is softcore you ask? Quite simply, your house is safe. While you may come back to find your chests and bat-boxes empty, you won't have to worry about the house being reduced to a hole in the ground
Features
Broker system allows you to buy and sell any resource at market prices
Chunkown system allows you to claim land preventing unauthorized parties from breaking blocks (but it won't stop them from looting your chests)
Death control system allows you to keep your resources past the grave, for a fee (you still drop 50% of your items if you died to a player)
Create IC2 credits and sell them at their fixed prices for a quick infusion of cash!
/Report rule breakers and trolls even when an admin's offline for retroactive correction!
A dedicated 4 core system means lag should be minimal. Currently at 4gb RAM, but should be increased soon
Rules
1: Don't be a douche. If you are intentionally pissing someone off or annoying them, you're breaking this rule
2: Do not break owned blocks in any way, shape, or form. This includes tricks like placing TNT outside the owned area and detonating it
(You may break 1 redstone wire in a circuit to bypass a trap/lock or turn off a nuclear reactor before you loot it.)
3: No placing resources blocks (iron block, lapiz block, ect) to prevent it from being looted. If you want to use it as decoration, cut it into covers.
4: The server ip is 70.178.215.28
5: Spawn camping is a HUGE nono. Anyone caught spawn-camping gets all their items taken from them and given to the victim. Depending on the severity that may include all items in their base. Don't do it.
6: Exploits in any way are to be reported using /report and not abused. This includes anything from broker exploits to give you free money to ways to bypass chunkown protection. Reporting the exploit to an admin results in a significant reward.
7: When looting nuclear reactors (or anything else that tends to explode), you must do all you can to prevent it from exploding. This means turning it off, or looting the uranium FIRST.
8: ALL chests and inventories MUST be accessible without breaking a block. Redstone is your friend here.
9: Admins word is law. If an admin says stop doing it, stop doing it.
Tips
While we don't have a whitelist or even really a greylist, you will need to get an admin to promote you to "user" in order to buy land or use any other commands. This is to prevent random users from buying land then never coming back again. I'm sorry
You can use /broker to buy and sell items. You can also buy items that are not yet for sale and you'll get the items when someone sells them to you.
Mobs are worth more money when you kill them during the day. endermen are worth the most money, followed closely by creepers.
If you kill a player you gain 100 credits and half their items. Consider offering their items back to them for an additional 100 :3
Admins have access to very verbose logs. We see all and know all. You may think you're being clever breaking the rules as you are, but i've seen it all before.
The command to buy land is /co buy. You should /co preview before you buy and buy before you build so you don't have to buy extra chunks because you accidentally built your house on the border of 2 chunks
Forcefields are allowed. Including dome-mode that completely protects your base. Don't get caught outside of it!
If your base becomes inaccessible due to force fields or any other means, tell an admin. We'll fix it, but it'll probably cost you.

The server is currently in beta. This means there may be random bugs and errors due to permissions, conflicting plugins, ect ect. I'll try to fix them all ASAP, if you find one, report it to me using /report.

Who even plays this? No spawn is made, and it looks like nobody has even been here as if it was a brand new map. No trees half broken nothing

It's MC 1.4.7 and Ultimate 1.2.1

However, no one to very few who are sandboxy MC FTB, pvp / build / raiding /risk-reward / econonmy enthusiasts will ever play on it without at least 2 sethome commands.

And yea...at least put a little effort into spawn, rules, etc. there; many's impression of the server in-general, when they first land, will be a reflection of spawn, which is abandoned . . . and that's the impression . . . non-caring, non serious abandonment. Just saying.

There's a system that allows you to pay a heavy fee and retain your items (unless a player offs you). I am not installing teleportation plugins. Making your escape should be a huge part of the raid, if i could find a plugin that does it i'd make it so you can only raid a base if one of the owners are there as well
