I'm looking for a magic mod, whitch can stand alone as the magic side of the pack, -->but relatively<-- cheap on performance.
Also it shouldn't include cursing/destroying other players and/or their bases.

Maybe Blood Magic? I'm not sure how expensive this is on performance, but probably less than Botania or Thaumcraft.

Blood Magic would be your best bet here. After that, Botania is the next best, as it actually requires very little processing power, especially if you turn down the particles.

I don't really wanted to use blood magic. :S The pack is being made for a specific server, and there are people who will not like it (i might sound one sided, but only because i'm one of them).

I known that Thaumcraft is no option.

I tried witchery because it at least looked liter, but we ruled it out because of security issues. It was too easy to destroy someone else and/or their belongings, and we're sure that there won't be any log (these types of events are never logged).

Botania was my bet, but i wanted to see other options, if theres anything better.

Botania is a no go, depending on how rubbish your computers are. Botania will have particals shooting everywhere, also large mana setups while not horrible can make a significant performance hit. That being said you do have to go goo goo gaa gah crazy with mana gen.

So you want a lightweight magic mod with no exploitable PvP mechanics? Try "Professor Weaksauce's Fake Panzy Magic Mod" ohh wait that doesn't exist.
Actually there was a mod that was in one of the older packs "Arcane scrolls" it "looked" kind of light weight but I found it to be remarkably lame, at least compared to the big Magic mods. The mod essentially added limited use items that where created from your exp and I think some paper and some odd dust material, had things like fireballs to teleportation and other sort of useful stuff. Don't think it's being developed for 1.7.10 though, but it sounds weaksauce enough to fit your bill.

Also those suggesting Blood magic as a light weight magic mod must be joking with you. I mean it's not as huge as Thaumcraft or better yet ChromatiCraft (that thing is fucking BIIIIG) but it's not light weight, maybe middle weight.

I guess it's relatively lightweight in performance. It doesn't have much by way of fancy graphics or particles. Botania and Thaumcraft are worse in this aspect.

Even knowing that fact Blood magic also now has some kind of voodoo like thing if the latest DW20 Forgecraft episode was showing what it was, has some sort of blood contract system soaryn was affected with some sort of Auto smelt "Curse" from what was claimed to be blood magic. Also it has a lot of destructive spells that are difficult to log, not sure if MyTown/ Grief protection protects against it.

Essentially OP wants a magic mod that does very little.

Well, thaumcraft would do enough whitout being way too destructive (the only thing what i could remeber is spreading tain, but i think it has a config for that. Some people don't like portable holes, but thats mostly "annoying", not destructive).

An example for the logging: ender quarries not being logged either, but its fairly obvious where it was done (giant qubic area made out of dirt/air) so we have the chance of finding who placed it where. With a spell shot from the player, we have no chance of figuring it out.

Thaumcraft doesnt cause any particular performance issues. I dont know what your problems are with it, probably the usual complaints about research and taint. Both of which can be turned off in the config. I always play in no-research mode, and I know from experience that its almost impossible to intentionally cause taint.

Actually in recent versions of thaumcraft there is a craftable bottle of taint which when thrown creates a small patch of taint. Suppose if you want a tainted creature farm it could be useful if contained, but as the research says: "Why would you want this?"

Well there's one thing; It doesn't exist yet.
Someone might make one in the future but as at now it's not a thing.

It could be a bunch of pretty pastel colored wands where the most dangerous one dyes your target pink.

In the testing phase they liked botania, the owner wants to start up the server pretty soon, so it seem that we won't be trying mods.

op, and no redpower integration.

#notinterested.

I didn't get to the cuddle machine part! It's a redstone state machine that cuddles you when it gets a redstone signal. The intensity of the cuddle is determined by the redstone strength applied!
There's your RedPower integration rite thar!

better yet ChromatiCraft (that thing is fucking BIIIIG)
Most of CC's filesize is textures and sound files, not all of which are even used. I am not going to remotely claim it fits the description of a "so light it has no performance impact" mod, nor that it has "no features with which someone could do anything unpleasant", but raw filesize is not an indicator of computer load.
