Low FPS DW20

Hello guys,
i'm having a problem with FPS when i open the game and join a server/start a new world my fps is 40-60, but after 10-30 secs it drops down to 5-10 fps in the overworld, but in the nether or twilight it's 40-50 fps
in the overworld i don't have advanced machines,
i'm using optifine 1.4.6_HD_D5
texture pack Soartex

Specs:
intel core i7 3610 qm 2.30 GHZ(up to 3.30 GHZ with turbo boost)
Ram 8 gb
vga nvidia gtx 660m 2gb ddr5
64 byt OS

turn off optifine, you don't need it with that cpu.

From experience, optifine made my fps a lot worse and i've got a similar cpu to you

I disagree, I have the same CPU but I NEED optifine to play modded MC at above 10 FPS.

That said, you have a good graphics card so I imagine you should be set, I don't think it's a hardware problem. does this happen with every world you start, or only in worlds you've been playing for a while? does it happen consistently when you go to a certain area in a world, or just in general?

i disabled i and deleted it, still having low fps but when i look at the sky it boosts to 90+ constantly[DOUBLEPOST=1367493374][/DOUBLEPOST]

at most places except the places that are near water

• Are you sure youre using the GPU and not Intel HD.
• Is the processor at 3.6Ghz or 2.3 when actually playing

Also, changing your texture pack to vanilla would not hurt. Soartex is a pretty heavy texturepack IIRC

same results with default tp, mesa, soartex.....
