lost world

hi i was playing yesterday everything was fine loving the mod pack, loaded up FTB today and my world and all i did is not comeing up on the single player world select screen i looked in the folder where the worlds are saved and they are in there but still not couming up on the single player would select screen any help would be appreciated thanks

my single player worlds are gone its like thay have been deleted but when i looked in the FTB folder where the games saves are they where still there i i made a new world and the would saved in the same place as the other one thats not showing up on the single player world select screen hope this is a little clearer

When you'r in the minecraft startup menu does it say "minecraft 1.2.5" in the lower left corner?

to Meldiron no it doesn't thought i was loading up the wrong one my self but i checked it is 1,4,2​

to Ashzification i havnt deleted anything just loaded up the FTB launcher as i always do going to make a new world and see if the same thing happens again

Open the folder with your old world save and make sure there is a level.dat file there.
If there is a level.dat file then make a backup of this or change it's name to something else (i.e level.dat_test).
Then copy the file named level.dat_mcr and rename the copy to level.dat.
If it don't help then undo what you did by deleting the new file you made and renaming the backuped file back to level.dat.

You could also download the newest launcher, place it in a empty folder, run it so that it installs everything.
Then copy the saves folder from your old FTB install just to see if that helps.
