Particularly if you have some sort of blast-resistant glass to allow you to see the NetherNether Railways are cooler than DimDoors.
How boring is getting in a door then BOOM there.

We don't have one.No, you don't need a no topic thread, you need a bloody chatroom.

A half an hour later...
"Thank you for taking the Nether Tours Railway of Death and Destruction Tour. And don't forget to go in the souvenir store."

It gets way better with Natura installed...That is TOTALLY how my railway shall be. Especially since I don't know if I like where I currently live for a town.
Which version of MC are you using? The current TE offers random travel over big distances: http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/drinking-liquid-ender-is-great.24150/I know about the Nether. I just don't like travelling for new worldgen because I have no clue what I've generated before, no idea if I'm going to find what I am looking for in the current chunk or absolutely nothing. I travel a LOT in my worlds. It's a preference thing, there's not arguing it.

To your left, if you look up, is a fascinating tree which grows only here in the nether... the Bloodtree.
And as we turn this corner, look to your right, down by the edge of the lava lake. No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you, that's a Ghostwood. The partially transparent look is still being researched by scientists, but it does look lovely, doesn't it?
Oh, and here we're coming up on a mushroom grove. Look at all the different neon colors!

I would suggest using Reinforced Track and Reinforced Booster Track.I have Natura.
What should I build the railway out of?
Psh. Worldgen generally means a restart for me.
TC3's arcane glass/ IC2's reinforced glass.I have Natura.

I go 50/50 on that. I will for the most part just make a nether train from point A to point B to get new world gen. But after a few rail lines Its time for a restart. Or if it is a lot of world gen like XYcraft and it mulitple ores/crystals.
Lots of mods are supporting Retrogen now.
Yea, it's a shame Mekanism doesn't, it's pretty much the main reason why I am stalling on including Mekanism into ShneekeyCraft until MC 1.6.x comes out.Lots of mods are supporting Retrogen now.

It's a new technique, and as Saice points out can be buggy. It's definitely a good trend, and CoFH world providing universal support for it going forward means even more folks can access the technique.
