---Introduction---
Hi everyone, I'm James. I run The ClassyCast FTB server.
We've been running a Minecraft server for awhile, but we've always run into issues with direction and staff. I'm fortunate to have found a few good staff members over time, but ultimately we've decided that if we want to grow a community around our server, we need to expand.
Our newest goal for a server is to create something uniquely awesome, something that will take the effort of a number of people to realize. We want to create a hybrid adventure/traditional survival server, complete with a rich back story and lore, specialized PvP, an economy, and unique PvE encounters.
We feel that, in order for us to do this the way we'd like, we'd first have to go beyond traditional Minecraft. The FTB Unleashed pack fits the bill for this. With the enhanced gameplay options and numerous new blocks the modpack adds, we feel that we can create something amazing, that players from all over will want to experience.
However, in order for us to make this a reality, we need *people*. Without people dedicated to making this work, all we've got are a few good ideas. That's why I'm here now.
---What we need---
The kinds of people we need are:
- Moderators experienced with the FTB Unleashed pack and Bukkit Plugins.
- Administrators, also with FTB and Bukkit experience.
- People with the technical expertise to help install and configure plugins and mods, as well as troubleshoot any issues that pop up.
- Experienced builders, to help us realize our vision.
- People to help us maintain a strong community presence, through social media and through our own website.
- Minecraft Username
- Age (We prefer our staff to be at least eighteen, but our best tech admin is sixteen.)
- Skype Username (We all use Skype to communicate. Not having it would be a detriment.)
- Previous Experience (What Mods are you familiar with? Bukkit plugins? What roles have you had on other servers?)
- What kind of Admin/Mod style you use. (Super strict? Lenient? Lots of item bans?)
- Time Zone (We'd like a 24/7 staff)
We'll need someone to help us manage the technical side of the server, too. We want our mods and plugins running smoothly, and we need people to help resolve issues as they pop up. Players don't like a server that crashes all the time, so we'd like to minimize any downtime. Any technical staff will need experience with the PvP Arena Bukkit plugin as well, as it's what we use for PvP.
We also need a number of experienced builders to help us realize our vision for our FTB Unleashed server. We have a number of things we'd like to put a lot of effort into, but we don't have enough manpower to do so quickly.
Finally, we need someone to help us with our social media presence. We feel like we have something great here, and we want to share it with as many people as possible. That said, none of our current staff has the time to undertake such a daunting task. Anyone taking this job would also be in charge of advertising our server to the public.
Unfortunately, we can't afford to *pay* anyone for any of this. Don't get me wrong, we'd absolutely love to, but right now we need to rely on volunteers that share our dedication to making our vision a reality.
