Request Looking for a good mod-pack?

Hey
Im looking for some help to build my own custom mod-pack for myself.
I haven't played modded minecraft i a long time and my computer is not up for the task to run the larges modpacks... so instead i want to put something smaller but good together.
To start out i hope i can get some tips from others on what mods i should not miss.

This time i do not want so much challenge, i rather go for lots of automatization, tech-mods, nifty gadgets, transportation, worlds etc.

Even better, maybe there are some packs out there that you think fit these things?

I can definitely recommend Automaton (spelling is correct here), as well as Modular Mayhem Reloaded. Shneekey the Lost has a pack he says is very light, but I don't remember the name.
