Basically, I'm "allergic" to lag and was hoping to find a European server.
It needs to be active (regularly/mostly 10+ players) and the better the community, the... better, of course.
Apart from that, I'd like block protection, as a general rule. Just for the peace of mind, you understand.
I can't stand GregTech, so anything running that in any form is out.
No BS donator perks. I can understand wanting to encourage donations, but I've seen several servers giving tons of free stuff in exchange for donations, that just isn't right.
About me: I'm from Norway, have been playing Minecraft since... some indeterminate point during the Alpha - before the Nether for sure, probably quite some time before.
I've been an admin for one of Norway's biggest servers (now fairly inactive, unfortunately) for several years and am studying Computer Science. One of my favorite mods for Minecraft is ComputerCraft which is featured in most FTB packs.
