And the FTB team don't attempt other biome mods, often, so BoP has the same effect *whistles*Because people think vanilla biomes are too boring.

Last I tried it (about 2 months) it was still true. When I tried to play IE without BoP I ended up in worlds dominated by Mooshroom biomes. Does that still happen?
That only happens if you still have the BOP mod enabled. If you disabled the mod (remove it completely) then the you get normal terrain gen. If BOP mod is enabled and you use DEFAULT terrain gen then you get a lot of mushroom biomes. When I tried to play IE without BoP I ended up in worlds dominated by Mooshroom biomes. The redwoods are no longer 2x2? I am sure last time I used EBXL the redwoods were 2x2The problem I have with BoP is that half the biomes are incredibly murderous, or mushrooms. And then I have to go hunting for monsters.
I love Jade Cliffs and the one mountain biome I can't quite remember the name of. Not so much the thorn bushes, poisonous spiders, and poison ivy. (They really love environmental damage and poison.)
I'd forgotten how much I liked EBXL until I was playing with it in Modular Mayhem. Redwood forests are as awesome as I remember, but the branches from the trees are much less pleasant than the old 2x2 trees.
I really like Highlands though, because it's got extremely tall mountains, and when it says large biomes, it's not kidding at all.
I thought they had sort of aThey are, but they have big branches up at the top of the trunk.
You're thinking either of Highlands Redwoods, or the MASSIVE Natura ones. Instead of EBXL Redwoods.
Where the EBXL's used to be a very tall, but straight 2x2 tree, with just a couple block thick rings of leaves. And chopping them down now is a complete pain.
