Long-Range Quarry woes.

So, I want to start using my quarry about now, Though... The problem i have is i'm used to teleport pipes.

So what i'd like is some idea's on both how to power, and get the items back from the quarry without me having to head out to the site every time, and replace an energy cube.

I don't care how it's done, what power is used or methods, I'm still at that point in my build where i can really still do whatever i like.

Bonus points for pictures.

Edit: I'd also like to point out i'm a fan of turning the quarry on and off as i need. My previous method of stopping and starting was a conductive teleport pipe in my base, attached to an energy link with a lever.

Enderchest with BC pipes or RP tubes you can basically make them work like teleport pipes.

Indeed, instead of sending "power" you send the fuel, which is converted to power onsite in the appropriate engines.

Make a really long railcart track, and use an anchorcart tied to a chest cart. If one cart isn't enough, then have multiple in a train.

Few mid tier solar panels, and some electrical engines.
-Normally I do a few relays of saplings/fertiliser and a fermenter+about 10 biogas engines. Clears a max size quarry fairly quick.

Then enderchest the spoils back.

or just set your quarry up next door and problem solved.

Upon noticing just how fast a quarry goes when i turn my energy cubes to max... >.> I realize that it's output far exceeds my ability to deal with.

How does one get redpower to stuff things into Factorisations barrels? does it have to go in top or bottom? have something else inbetween it and the tubes?

You can have the all side my side no space needed. Just tember Top In Bottom Out and you will be fine.

Aaah who doesn't love a massive pile of quarry vomit?

How much did you loose down the hole?​

Place a relay on top the quarry, and run it into your tube network. use a filter to pull off the useful stuff, or divert the cobble/dirt/XYcraft crystals into lava.

no no send the Xycarft to autocrafters and turn them into pretty blocks.

I am prety sure that there is a machine that will craft all of them, called packager.
All you need is to send multiples of 9 of 1 kind at a time, so use a chest and a RP filter for example.

Ive never liked the craft packer personally. and five autocrafters around one double chest works really well. Thats what I'm doing in my loot sorter.

no no send the Xycarft to autocrafters and turn them into pretty blocks.

I disabled XYcraft. To many extra ores with no use but decoration for the moment.

But the future uses of them look really awesome! Especially the fabricator, now that the "using up most of the server's CPU time" issue is fixed

Anyhow, I think I'll have to do a similar setup for my quarry too, since I've only used it once since building it and don't have room on my island to be digging more holes

Meh.. x.x I've not heard or seen much on XY craft. When it gets some machines, I'll just make a new world.

I save my worlds to a folder where i keep a specific version of minecraft and it's mods to make sure i can always go back and play them.
Sentimental~ Though i only keep ones i've spent a month or three on. And with Minecrafts recent updates and stuff, I hav'nt been able to just settle down yet.

I use enderchests. One placed next to the quarry, thats my sorting chest and one for lava cans. I use a liquid transposer to feed magmatic engines and returning the empty cans back to the fuel enderchest. I have a reversed setup in the nether, taking empty cans from the fuel chest, filling them with a liquid transposer and dumping them into the fuel chest.

Oh and what mod is this from and what does it do?

Same mod, it's both the maker and stamper combined. What it does is automagically craft 3x3 or 2x2 recipes from the input.

However, I like your idea much better, now that you have mentioned it.

Will use! You could probably use an iron chest in the middle, stead'a double chest.
