Details of the issue Hi there,
I've got a quite annoying issue: I am playing on a server and experiencing the following:
When joining the server, swicthing between worlds (portals) or teleporting long distances it takes about 20 seconds for all actions to 'keep up' on my client or until I can interact with anything: doors, buttons, chests or even try to fly with the Angel Ring. For example: I teleport to the farm world, I instantly have the world, I can move around (but not fly), but when I destroy a block it takes 20 seconds until everything is fast paced for a second: the block drops, I hear all animal-sounds at once, the animals all start moving very fast and suddenly everything works fine.
Sometimes that issue varies a bit and I keep getting teleported back to the portal for those 20 seconds of - let me call it 'loading time'. I tried around in a single-player world but no issues there, probably because it was a new world :/
I really would like to blame the server, but none of the other players have that issue and pinging the server gives me a steady 30ms ping. It's also the first time I have that issue, I was playing on 2 other servers before without issues.
Maybe one more thing: I am the only person using the twitch app, the others use the ftb launcher, but I can't imagine this being the issue.
Specs (PC is 6 years old, got new RAM and GPU inbetween):
CPU: i7 (never at it's limit)
RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 (I was wondering if the RAM is simply too slow?)
SSD: 120 GB (I already moved the FTB installation from one hard-drive to another, nothing changed)
GPU: GTX 760Ti
Internet: 70 Mbit down / 10 Mbit up
Newest Version of the twitch app, assigned about 10GB RAM to Minecraft (could it be that's too much?, it normally just takes about 5-6GB in the taskmanager)
Java x64 7.111 (don't kill me, I know it's old) <-- probably should be my first step (but why did it work on other servers before?), which version is recommended?
I was looking at the temperatures of CPU, RAM, SSD and GPU when playing and there doesn't seem to be anything warmer than usual.
I hope you guys can help me
