Lo, I am relatively new to modded minecraft. I have been using logistic pipes to keep my items sorted. And I have two things I am looking to accomplish with my system that I am having trouble figuring out. One, I would like to have my system compact my cobble to compressed cobble and then place it in a barrel. And two, I would like my pipes to keep an ender chest filled with stone brick. Any help or thoughts would be much appreciated.

Have a basic logistics pipe sinking cobble connected to whatever autocrafter you want to use to compact the cobble, then have another basic logistics pipe (or a chassis pipe with an itemsink module) sinking compressed cobble connected to the barrel.
EDIT: Note, this won't compress any cobble already stored in your system, to do that put a supplier pipe supplying cobble on top of the autocrafter first then replace it with the basic pipe later.

Supplier pipe on the enderchest supplying stone brick, make sure it is set to supply infinite amounts. This assumes you know how to set up logistics pipes autocrafting, if you don't I can explain that too.

1st: Set up an autocrafting table. In that table's gui put the recipe you want to autocraft
2nd: place an autocrafting pipe on the table. Hit it with your wrench and click on 'import'
3rd. Done.

Sorting isn't really necessary anymore when you use LP. In the request pipe the items are sorted anyways and it's totally irrelevant where it's stored, the system fetches it for you. I usually put a wall of chassis MKII with item sink module on default route and provider module on the short sides of wall of double chests (alternating chests and trapped chests for compactness) and let the system find storage place itself. In my actual world I have 56 double chests that store 3024 stacks of items in 3x14x4 blocks. Additionally I got six barrels with sorage upgrade III for dirt, cobble, gravel and the like.
One story above I got a wall of storage drawers for Items I often use for crafting (though these still need an integration coded for LP) supplied by supplier pipes from behind, the rest is ordered by request pipe (I don't like the crafting request table).
