Hello! I am making a boiler set up and saw that LP had a crafting pipe. What I want to do is make it auto craft logs into planks but I do not know how to or what pipes to use. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance

Have a look at the wiki. You'll want a crafting pipe on a logistics crafting table. Set them both to make planks from logs and connect a supplier to your boiler set to supply planks.

Cool idea, but very quickly you will realize how inefficient wood is. Even turning that wood into charcoal would be much better. Just to give you an idea and I hope my math isn't that far off. It takes about 8500 coal to keep a boiler running for 24 hours. Wood planks might be a 1/4 of the burn time as charcoal, which means you will be pumping 38k planks into that thing a day... Just saying... If my math is off someone will correct it I am sure.

given that you get 4 planks from a log and you save the furnace fuel it might be better if it was just 1/4 but I doubt it it is 1/4

Just to add, you can also configure the logistics pipes system to smelt wood into charcoal on demand. I think it is still done with a crafting pipe and you make a pattern of one wood into one charcoal and then you place the pipe onto a furnace of your choosing. I don't know how well it will keep up though.

Thanks everyone! It is not a full sized boiler and I have a MFR tree farm running on fertilizer harvesting jungle trees so woods not a problem. Omegatron Thank you very much!
