Windows .exe Login not being saved

Hi everybody,
My login name and password is not saved correctly by the launcher.
I can create a profile and login fine, but when I restart the launcher the name and password field is empty and i have to recreate the profile. See attached image for explanation.

Love the ftb pack and the launcher looks awesome, but this bug is very annoying.

yes, contents of the file is "0000000000000000000000000000000000003a3a" whatever i enter as name or password. Also, adding the profile without "remember password", it works fine.
 
I've heard the launcher don't like passwords with space in them, but if the file is the same no matter what you type in it then i guess it isn't that.
Any chance it could be caused by special letters or symbols?
 
It was indeed caused by special characters, "#" and ":" to be exact. I would recommend to change that, since both are part of the printable ascii character set, which is recommended for save passwords nowadays.
