Probably because there are other people looking for the same issue they're having before posting their issue. Something you should have done with that handy search bar prior to posting yours.
It's a known issue that sometimes the launcher corrupts the saved data in your profile. Re-enter it and it should work correctly.
You may need to reset your password with mojang. Make sure you're using your e-mail and not your username to log in.
I think I covered all of the usual suspect with login issues.
Make sure your FTB Launcher profile isn't filled with random characters and make sure you are using the correct info

Yup appreciate that and I can assure you I read through a number of posts prior to posting myself. I was purely asking if it may have been an issue with Minecrafts authentication servers as I have not experienced this before. But having not experienced this before I feel this thread may help people out in a similar position as myself by reading your comment of making sure you use your email and not username. I understood that was only needed if you had migrated your Minecraft account to a Mojang account.
