Hi Everyone,

I was hoping that some of you guys who are much more knowledgeable of the modpacks (and MC community in general) would be will to point me in the right direction.

I'm looking for a modpack that has IC2 (plus addons), Buildcraft, Forestry, and Railcraft. I know that Infinity has those mods, but I'm specifically looking for a modpack that only has those mods, plus whatever required mods are needed. I've tried making a modpack myself, but I just don't have the necessary skills to make it work.

I guess the idea would be to not have the usual TE+EnderIO beginnings, a cluttered NEI, and lag associated with having a ridiculous amount of mods installed.

Thank you kindly in advance for your replies. :)

You can open the mods list in Infinity (under the normal ftb client it is just a button called mod list, no idea how to do this on the Curse client) and disable anything that is not the mods you are looking for. If you are unsure what mods to disable, look up the mod and see what it does; if the mods you wish to run need that mod, keep it, if the mods you wish to run do not need it, disable it.

You can also add in your own mods this way, although I cannot remember how to do it exactly off the top of my head.

Hi gold49. Thanks for your reply. I have considered doing that, however I'm currently playing a world in Infinity. If I knew how to run multiple instances of Infinity I would simple adjust the modpack as you've suggested, but sadly I don't know how to have two or more versions of the same modpack running. Maybe be if I have one running from the FTB launcher and another from the Curse launcher? That might work.

Anyway, thanks for your reply mate. Appreciate it. :)

Technic has released a Tekkit Legends pack, though I'm not sure if the current version includes IC2 (Classic) yet, they're planning on including it very soon. It's quite close to what you want, I guess, though it does have Big Reactors.

Hey asiekerka, hey HeroWing2. I checked out Tekkit Legends and it looks pretty cool. I don't mind BigReactors, I'd probably either ignore it, or use it towards the end of the world's lifecycle. Projekt E is the remake of equiverlent exchange right? If so I'll probably just ignore it; mods like that are fun sometimes, but overall I feel that it goes against the style I want to play. Is there a difference between IC2 classic and IC2 experimental?

If I'm correct IC2 classic aims to replicate the IC experience that players were given during the Tekkit days. IC2 experimental is the modern day counterpart that you see now in most kitchen sink 1.7.10 packs the two versions are significantly different.

experimental is a monstrosity
