Link Books GONE!

Have a little dilemma. I do apologize if this has been asked before, just a little panicky right now.

A friend of mine and myself had our own server on direwolf and had 2 books on pedestals open for portal through a mystcraft dimension. One of them had a really nice EXP farm that we spent a lot of time on. Well, we decided we also wanted Twilight Forest mod as well, so we converted the server to Mindcracked, all updated, we got twilight forest working and everything was fine. We went in and out of the server a few times already and there seemed to be nothing missing. Well we get back on one night and our portal book to the exp farm and any other link books we had strangely vanished. We hadn't changed anything at all. At this point we pretty much know it's a lost cause and we should of backed up more frequent. But is there any explanation WHY this has happened or possibly any way to bring our other dimensions back?

Mystcraft isn't in Mindcrack

Like ash said Mystcraft isn't part of the Mindcrack pack and the game will automatically remove any blocks/items that it doesn't recognize, including the linking books. If you still have your backups from before the switch you could add mystcraft to the mindcrack pack and run those old saves and the books should still be there. Just add mysrcraft to you mods folder and copy the old mystcraft config from the DW20 pack, all your users would have to to that as well.

If im not mistaken if they copied the save straight over to the mystcraft world the dimensions should still exist in the save file should they not just with no way to get to them, if they know which dimension it is which should be included in the save file they could simply add mystcraft and use the /tpx command to get to it then create linking books from the dimension. That is theoretical never tried anything like it but it should work.

/tpx will teleport you to the spawn of the dimension your entering (/tpx <username> <dimension). You only need to find the EXP farm again then to make your linking book (after adding mystcraft from your dw20 pack).
