As of the moment, we are returning to a beta period on our server. Things are going into a large series of balancing and development, and we feel that the experience will not be fully enjoyable until things have been altered. Please be aware that this server will likely be tweaking a large number of mods, as to balance them in a world with a near-real life economy. This will not be the typical server. If you are interested, our teamspeak is available on our website, and free to join at the moment, if you are interested in the server's development. Thanks!
At the moment our biggest targets are sources of infinite, or near infinite power generation, and scaling down unlimited items. If this bothers you, then we are not the server for you!
As a new forward to everyone interested in our server, I'd like to go ahead an point out a few of the things we're doing at the moment, and plan to do, as to pull in the right crowd of people. (If and when the banned item list tolls, we don't want to step on toes!) The following segments will lead you to pertinent information relevant to each topic. If you'd rather jump right into the server however, look on to the "How to join us:" section!
Read more in the "What we do at Lingiacraft" section below. For now, allow us to continue with our server information.
One of our biggest concerns at the moment is making the economy work. For most servers on the web, they mention that they are in fact an economy server.. Nope! Not to ruin the credibility of any other server, but to be fair, an economy cannot work unless items are limited, or put into a light that they seem rather limited.. Read more at "Economy."

Announcements:
[May 20, 2014] Lycanite's Mobs had to be disabled. Something was causing the server to reset constantly, over a period of about two minutes time. The error has been resolved.
The server's Beta period is over. Nothing is to be wiped or removed from this point, unless it is in fact a game breaking bug. Rollbacks to persistent backups will be available for that reason.
As of the moment, Jobs and McMMO are being configured to support the variety of mods inside of FTB Monster. Jobs is about half way done as of this moment!
For the time being, until we see a bigger crowd online, voting for our server is worth two times its normal values. This is the perfect time to get set up inside of our world! :3

Disabled Items List / Tweaks:
All plant accelerators (e.g. Lilypad of Fertility, Lamp of Growth) - We feel that Magical Crops receives too great a benefit to not ignore these sort of items.
Steel Dust - General tech level ignoring.
Mining Lasers - Protection bypassing. Craftable, but unable to be used.
MFR Grinder and Autospawner - Too easy to wreck the economy, and, server strain!
Open Blocks and RotaryCraft Fan / Thaumcraft Golems - Final solution for gathering Magical Crops crops en masse with limited, or no extra input after a system is complete.
Chunk loaders, except for the Personal Anchor - The Personal Anchor requires fuel to operate, otherwise, it sits there as a decorative block. This is optimal for us in the administration, as it prevents someone from leaving an anchor on, until the server's life is complete. Also, it only runs when the player is online. Added bonus.
Hard mode configurations enabled for most mods. Package download on our website. Most "hard mode" configurations include the requirement of steel, rather then iron.
HSLA Steel will no longer be allowed to interact with other mod's steel. This was performed to protect against an exploit to duplicate Iron.
Steel can no longer be used to create Minecarts.

Server Rules:
Please click HERE. To avoid too much fluff in the post, we've omitted these rulings in favor to a link to our website's rule listing. Without doubt, they will always remain current!
Economy:
In Minecraft, so as long as the world expands, or a mining world resets, or item generation from infinite power is available, there will ALWAYS be infinite items in its economy.
An economist would say right here, right now "Then you can't have a working, stable economy." Infinite items devalue things to the point that they don't have value. In a world, such as Minecraft, even more so, Feed the Beast, where mods are available to constantly generate new items, how do we make it so that items have value once more?
Limit unlimited items. That's how we do it. Slow them down.. Make them carry value in single units. Make sure the value per unit isn't 1/1000 of what it should be.
As time goes on, we will be doing our best to provide ways to get items out of the economy, and ways to get obscure items into the economy. Players will make, and spend money on these systems, with an increase or decrease in price due to supply, or demand factors.
Yes. We want to simulate a near real-world economy. Can we do it? Time will tell.

What do we do at Lingiacraft:
"How does our server work?" One might ask, "and how do we intend to increase its functionality?"
We, at Lingiacraft, will be providing a unique experience to each and every player that joins us. Yeah, sure, we've got Towny installed, and players make money for playing on the server.. We even added dailies too, to add to the flavor of joining in every day.
..But that's the baseline for our expectations. Players will be able to use their money, and their creations of industry, to buy and sell goods, trade goods, and much much more.
Using the powers of ComputerCraft, along with quality interfaces from our lead coder, Riney, we will be providing "Mini-games" through the use of ComputerCraft to enrich the server experience. An industrial player will have someone to sell to at all times! A commercial player will be able to coordinate with a leader of industry to sell many, many goods, or even turn to our lovely programs to ensure that their store is stocked, and always selling, even if it is a simulated NPC experience.
PvE is our thing. We hope to make it your thing too.
..At the moment however, the active staff members and I are on a crusade to limit the powers of infinite item generation. The reason? To make sure that the experience is shared, and not stolen by a single user. To date, the largest culprits of this are Magical Crops, and Mass Fabricators. (Quarries fit the bill, but I'll talk about them later.) Steps have been taken to limit the sheer powers of automation for these devices, so that players who do not pursue said paths will not be crippled because another player did.
Our biggest concern at the moment is balance. As we're on a multiplayer server environment, rather then singleplayer, things need to actually work out in a multiplayer environment. Players need not be able to wreck havoc on other player's things should they be protected. Another thing that we're addressing, is that we're trying to eliminate "meta games." We don't EVER want to see a final, top tier, end game device or solution to a problem. We're playing modded minecraft! Everyone who takes part in whatever mods they choose to play should be rewarded, not punished.

Introduction:
"A project that has been a long time due; meet Lingiacraft's Feed the Beast: Monster. A server who's goal in life is to be the best Residential, Commercial, and Industrial experience you've had from a Minecraft server. Adopting the goals of the old SimCity line of games, we hope to achieve a balance of town owners building thriving, functional cities for their residents, along with a healthy amount of player shops to drive the economy, and finally, a wealth of industrial efforts to drive the player markets."
She's a different kind of Monster. A friendly staff, with a smile. Run by players like you, who're fed up with lax moderation, and terrible administration. We want to see you, the player, become the giant. The beast. The monster. Lets talk about Lingiacraft.
There are several things we hope to achieve on our server. The first and foremost is that we would like to provide a unique, never before seen experience that will attract users for the lifetime of the server. Using permissions and groups, along with our site-to-game rank integration, we're aiming to create a game environment that changes what you know about modded Minecraft.
Another part of the server's goal is to provide an experience for all three types of players: residential, commercial, and industrial. By this, we mean that we hope to see players working in each of the three fields, and specializing, in order to move ahead in the world. It all starts with mining or item harvesting, then moves into Item or block manufacturing, wholesale, markup, resale, and then finally, end user configuration.
Players won't be forced into any one type of play, so there's always a new adventure for those who've not stepped foot into the other arenas of money making.
For residential minded players, Towny is included to allow you to create the city of your dreams! Taxes are collected every day, and the big town's will likely see a nice chunk! Land value is always important, so make sure if you decide to make a town, that it is filled with plenty of public infrastructure!
For commercial minded players, ChestShop is our go-to guy for player to player trading. Do you have what it takes to stock your own shelves? Or would you rather buy in wholesale from an industrial player whom can harvest better then you can? The possibilities are endless! Players who cooperate in these sorts of deals will help the server thrive, and shine!
For industrial minded players, we have all the mods you need for all your harvesting, mining, bottling, bucketing, and manufacturing automation; we are running Feed the Beast: Monster after all! Sell individual items that you pick up to commercial entities, or even manufacture completed items for wholesale! The choices are yours, and yours alone!
As the server advances, we hope to have many, many more interactions with how players can engage in specific roles. Such include mini-games, and server wide events!
We hope to see you in-game! ^_^
