Lightning rod

I play on a server that people have flux out of control so it storms ALL the time. Is it worth the mats/time to set up a lightning rod to power a matter fab with? If so what type of setup should I use?

I don't believe the flux lightning powers a lightning rod. Someone correct me if i am wrong.
