I am looking for advice on how to light my factory/base. Wrath Lamps look cool but I heard the cause problems for tree growing in monster.

What is a light source I can use in FTB monster that looks cool and does not cause problems for growing things?

Lamps? I believe they are in monster. Aesthetically pleasing and come in a variety of colors. Win/win in my opinion.

Just place the wrath lamps at least 8 blocks horizontally from anything that grows and you will be fine. I am personally using them everywhere, but not over any farms etc.

For a factory I would try the Project Red Illumination stuff: Lamps, Fixtures, Cage lamps, Illumar buttons, Lanterns.

Personally I use Arcane Lamps from ThaumCraft if I'm in a hurry, or tons of Nitor if I'm not.
Nitor is the glowy non-splody one, right?

The Thaumcraft arcane lamps are rather awesome and cover a large area, even through walls so you can hide them if you wished.

They do summon little wispy looking things though that you need to break before you can place a block.

Those wispy things are where the light from the arcane lamp comes from. It's not some sort of "light air", it's those emitting useful levels of light.

Also the Glimmer of Light(the wispy things) can be scanned for Lux in hte research table

For a factory like feel. Run fluiducts along the cieling in strips and then fill them with liquid glowstone.

In addition to the fluiducts you can hide parts of each strip in the ceiling with microparts with more microparts around the exposed portions to help get the feel of fluorescent lights like many factories use.

I know what they do, I was just informing him about them, he may not like the way they look in his factory.
