Leveling some land?

Hey, I'm trying to level some land with Feed the Beast... Anyone have ideas of how I can do this?

Can't use a quarry as I only want the land above a certain point in a zone removed...

You could mine it out with a shovel. Or you could just make a Mystcraft world with the Flat attribute.

Use the Filler from BC. It's able to flatten up to a 64x64 area.

It levels the land above the terraformer and will fill in the land below it, and won't get rid of 'man made' materials.

Turtles would work. Have them dig forward then move them up a level.

Try using a filler with a clear pattern(3x3 glass)

Another vote for the buildcraft filler. The clear pattern (9 blocks of glass) is your best option.
I use it. The more power you give it the quicker it runs.

The filler is insanly fast when running off a cell,

but if you clear a large area you'll want quantum sprint to keep up with the item drops, or you'll lag out trying to render 3,000 entities.

Another vote for the filler. I use it a lot to repair the 'damage' my quarries do. You can either have it clear an area or you can have it fill areas. I use the latter to build a 'floor' over the hole my quarries created.

Filler works great, but honestly, if its dirt your clearing, the IC2 laser is wicked fast! I've used this method a few times and it really can't be beat.
