I decided not to necro billion other threads because of reasons.
Now, from what I can see, 100 MJ/t max per precharger. Does that mean each laser has a maximum 400 MJ/t processing rate?
This means that 500t/ore or 125s? (Two minutes).
Due to my base geometry, I can't do some of the other innovative designs that incorporate multiple drills being redundantly charged by multiple lasers. Though, what is the max distance from the drill that you can have the laser positioned at?
I guess I mainly want to hear about your experiences with laser drills and the antics of using them. Because they produce essentially all the ores you requires, (aside from TiCo, etc.) do you use igneous extruders to satisfy your cobble, or do you have enough stores from your initial quarries, such that you never concern yourself with such things.
I have also just recently started using TE for ore processing, and discovered that all you need is cobble to sustain the entire processes that TE utilizes (cobble into sand, etc.). Significantly different than IC2/GT machines, but puts the game into a new light. Also means I don't have to worry as much about things blowing up in my face, or how to use all that nickel.
