Okay. Basically, I want to make an obsidian farm, with just Feed the Beast(unleashed), without any other addons that I have to add.

I saw there is a way to use redstone, but you have to enable the option (not going to happen).

So what I need, is some way to have something automated (a machine or something) that just puts a block of lava on the ground in a place I choose. Does anything like this exist? I already have pumps in the nether pumping (almost) infinite lava to my base, but I'm fairly new to FTB and not sure if this will be possible.

Again, my only question is:
Is there something that will take a liquid(lava/water/etc) and put it in a location(either right next to it or wherever, doesn't matter)?

The Buildcraft floodgate should do this. Play around with it using water so you understand how it works without !!FUN!! ensuing. You'll want to transport the liquid into it with either Buildcraft waterproof pipes or Thermal Expansion liquiducts/fluiducts.
