i've made an interesting discovery. Apparently golden waterproof pipes can move lava from a pump faster than liquiducts can, i'm really not sure why but its a very noticeable difference. can anyone else confirm this?

Are you going by visual 'fullness' of the pipe or actually measuring the time it takes to get X buckets worth of lava?

If it's the former, don't be fooled. Liquiducts can hold alot more liquid than golden waterproof pipes and so they can look emptier whilst actually carrying more.

Gold waterproof pipes move at a rate of 1.6 Buckets per second (not tick). If you are emptying pumps, they are a good choice. However, they aren't entirely ideal in factory setups, when you have to micromanage your liquid around your engines and machines.

There is a bug with Thermal Expansion (fixed in a newer version that's not yet in the packs) that makes Liquiducts loose most of the liquid when connected to a pump. Spread the word!

Yeah - this was basically a bug where the Liquiducts were only getting a fraction of the pumped liquid (and lots of was being destroyed). Update TE. ;) Sorry bout that.

Good thing then, that I have a habit of putting exactly one BC tank besides the pump and adding the liquiduct to that. This is a good workaround, if you cannot update (server, problems with adf.ly (which now wants access to flash... forget it! I'll skip adf.ly and download directly now)).
