Windows .exe Launcher wont open at all

FTB Launcher version (if this isn't the newest update update and try again): Newest
Minecraft Version:1.4.2
Java version:jre 7u7
Detailed description of the issue / how can the issue be recreated:
I downloaded the launcher (exe) and put it in its own folder on the desktop, and attempted to open in, it then created a file, "FTBLauncherLog.txt". This is all it did, and then it just sat there.
Error logs: "FTBLauncherLog.txt">

This is a long shot, but could you try running it in a folder that doesn't contain any exclamation marks or other special characters?
