Launcher wont launch

When updating my launcher to 1.2.9 the launcher shuts down and only my console opens, I've done the troubleshooting and when i pick a path to install it for the 'first' time the console is the only thing that opens again. only 'fix' i could do is revert the update to 1.2.8 trough windows backup...

Welcome. Your log appears to say you are using an older version of Java. Be sure to remove all other versions of Java as instructed by the guide. Also following the troubleshooting guide seems to fix this error. Please follow it carefully and precisely again to ensure you did not miss anything.
