Launcher will not launch game. Crashes

Title Launcher will not launch game. Crashes

Details of the issue I can't even launch the game. It shows the minecraft launcher, then I click on Play...runs as if it's going to start but then a split second later it's on crash screen. Doesn't even show Mojang splash screen or anything. Kind of just flashes to the crash log.

Check that your antivirus or firewall or possibly some other security software is not blocking the launcher from downloading.

Tried that but it's still doing it. I disabled antivirus. Checked exceptions in my firewall...all seems fine but it still crashes for me.

Don't disable your antivirus as this usually does not work. You need to allow the programs access.

Usually when you update java the windows firewall, for me it has anyway, pops up regarding allowing java internet access. Is it possible you clicked no.

I was never asked to allow it. I have already checked exceptions in firewall and all seems good as I stated in previous comment.

It crashed again.....Trying to post link to the new crash log but it's not letting me.

Just redid it all with the legacy launcher and it's on the splash screen loading mods. Think something is up with the curse client process. Will update if the game actually starts
