ooooh why is nothing simple
Due to a bug in Dartcraft where forcelogs craft barricade and not forcesticks i changed the launcher from recommended to 1.1.4 (i think) ok so mod pack downloads and launches. copasthetic so far. UNTIL i try to log onto my creeper host server and get gifted a message with a bunch of mods(versions) required to play on this server. Went back to recommended build and reloaded FTB tried to join server and now being told client mods out of date or missing .
(am now sat in a dark corner gently rocking back and forth)
Went back to now severely beaten up desk and deleted FTB launcher and folder,redownloaded pack yah de yah etc etc and ok problem solved.
BUT am still thinking ok so I still have the issue with the force sticks. As I am only 1 sandwich short of a picnic obviously the best version to use is the 'recommended' one but how in the name of gods green earth would I update the launcher version and join the server. Would I need to update each mod file in the server or reset the server ?

I did a little search on it. If you update dartcraft to 0.1.20 it should fix the issue but you will have to update the server as well. Or you could try making planks and then into sticks.

Tried that with planks and only makes regular sticks. I could update the client side but creeperhost file management is a different story. Also I couldn't even find 0.1.30 version. All I came across was the beta and then the 1.6.4
Then if anyone else was to join my server they would have to update also. knowing my luck I would also get a ton of conflicts :-(

If you mean the 0.1.20 version it is there under the old versions spoiler tab within the downloads spoiler. When I had a look at another thread it said that Tinkers Construct had a recipe that caused the problem and in the next update he changed the recipe to use force planks instead of using logs.

So you are going to have to update dartcraft in order to correct the problem. If you decide to update to 1.1.4 you will need to update the server as well. Using your 1.1.4 client to upload to the server.
