Windows .exe Launcher unable to download mods but link works

Right, I've been having this problem for ages now and no one including the Feed the beast support will help me.

I'm running the most recent version of java and windows 7 (64-bit) and FTB launcher 1.2.3 (the most recent) and when i've downloaded the client, it's unable to connect anything but when i checked the logs and just pasted the creeperrepo link in my browser, the pack downloads in the browser. The launcher isn't able to connect to the hosting service regardless of what i do. Can someone help me before i set it on fire?

P.S. Posting the console data is pointless because it just says downloading and nothing else. No error is shown on debug.

Any ideas of what might be blocking it or how to allow it? As i disabled my firewall on my PC and still nothing.

For that I will need more info...
  1. Follow the directions in my signature about logs and post the console log, as far as you can get it to go.
  2. What firewall do you use?
  3. What anti-virus do you have installed?
  4. How do you connect to the internet?
  5. Do you have any family safety programs installed on the computer?

I'm using microsoft security essentials for both my firewall and security settings
i'm wired into my router as my pc doesn't have a wireless card
and no family safety protocols.
