Hi Guys,

I just updated my Monster modpack to 1.0.5 and pressed launch, normally this would run the console for about 2 minutes and then load the game, but today it gives me this console log:

http://pastebin.com/dQiBRHTA

and basically shuts down the main Feed the Beast launcher window and restarts it within about 1 second, leaving the console open in the background, giving me that report in the console.

I checked on the Java website to verify my version on java and it tells me I have the newest version 7 update 51.

Ive not experienced this problem before, so Im a bit stumped in how to sort it!

thanks in advance for any help

Anthony

Edit: I forgot to say, in the pastebin link, line 96 is where I pressed Launch.

Edit 2: I can play other packs, I just tested the Direwolf20 pack and that works fine.

According to your log the launcher is preferring the older 64bit version. The version of 7u51 you have is 32bit so the launcher will ignore it if there is a 64bit version of Java on your computer. Please uninstall all Java versions then restart your computer. Now install only the 64bit version of 7u51 then restart your computer again. If that does not fix it please post a new console log.

Do you have javascript enabled and changed the radio button to say you agree to the terms for Java? It downloads for me.

I agreed to the terms and it says I can now proceed to download, normally when I click on a link like that it brings up a yellow download bar on the bottom of the window asking if I want to download or save to a location etc, but its not bringing that bar up? I have uninstalled all other instances of java on my system, and I don't know where I would find out if I have javascript enabled? sorry if im being annoying mate, im not too tech savvy on things like this! im also in England if that makes any difference to those download links? I know they can be location sensitive sometimes.

If it is downloading do not worry about javascript anymore. Just run the Java installer once it finishes downloading and after you uninstall the other versions and restart.

nah its not downloading, its not bringing up anything that shows its downloading, and I checked in the control panel and it doesn't show any java versions in the programs list. its not asking me to start the download and the windows 64x.exe link is just refreshing my window, I tried to right click and save target as but its just an unidentified file. I looked on the java website and it doesn't link me to a blatant 64 bit version, it only offers the Download File version in the main page. I have to go to sleep now, but if you have any idea what I could do, I would be grateful for any help.

thanks in advance

If this link gives you an error please let me know. Please try this after you get some sleep I should be on later tomorrow as well.

Good night :D

Hey Lavarthan!

thanks for all your help mate, I followed that link and it took me to a blank page, so I guessed something wasn't working with my IE, so I went to the java website and downloaded the recommended version, which is 32 bit, and then I downloaded an offline version of the 64 bit java from the website, as it gave me a link to a page with choices, and now I have both the 7u51 in 32x and 64x, and now my monster works!

thanks a lot dude!
