Launcher Question

Just wondering if anyone else is having a problem with the launcher right now?
I keep getting this -
Logging in...
Beginning authlib authentication attempt
successfully created YggdrasilAuthenticationService
com.mojang.authlib.exceptions.AuthenticationUnavailableException: Cannot contact authentication server
When I try to launch any pack. I thought it was just the HatPack, but even FTB Unleashed gives that message.

I don't know if I can fix it or how I would. I also don't know what it means as I was playing perfectly fine a couple of hours ago

EDIT: SEEMS EVERYTHING IS BACK UP. I HAVE JUST LAUNCHED A PACK JUST NOW

I have the same issue, I did a quick google and it appears that minecraft servers are down

There used to be an option to play offline in the launcher. Did that go away?

They are waiting on Amazon to fix a HUGE security hole in OpenSSL.

I had caught the info from the other link.
But the servers seem to be back up now as I have just been able to launch a pack
