Windows .exe Launcher Problems

Hello, I was trying to update my launcher to 1.2.9 and when I try to load it up, it crashes with this error: http://pastebin.com/SpUVRtq6

Before you say "Read this article" or something similar, I HAVE read that article and HAVE followed every step to its fullest. I have also even created a support ticket and the person helping me out said to ask it on the forums. So, here I am! The steps I have done are

• Reinstalling Java (Java 1.7 build 45)
• Removing the ftblauhcer folder from %appdata%
• Restarting computer
• Redownloading the launcher

Just about everything on the "Basic troubleshooting" page.

I had the same issue as everyone else and I resolved it by uninstalling all versions of Java I had installed. I had JRE 7.45 as well as the JDK for my Eclipse environment, and a Java 6 version for some reason. I basically followed THIS guide by the letter and after the reboot, my launcher loaded properly. If this works please spread the word because I'm seeing a lot of posts with this same error.

I do have java 6 installed and I need it primarily for development. I should try it without java 6

EDIT: Like I said I don't want the "Follow this guide" posts but I'll give uninstalling java 6 a shot

Uninstalling Java 6 fixed the problem! Yay

Uninstalling Java 6 and installing the latest version fixed my problem too!
(Unbeknownst to me, I had a crazy number of different Java versions on my computer.)
