Am I the only one that's annoyed by this? I'll fire up the loader, takes a jiffy, then I launch unleashed, which takes a minute or so. I switch over to a browser window to reed email or do something else while Minecraft/FTB loads up but every 5 seconds or so, some window is popping up or changing and that window thinks it needs my attention and focus, so it comes to the foreground. I switch out again to do what I was doing and then it grabs focus again and again and again. Granted, once it's up and running, it's all fine and I love the modpack, else I wouldn't be firing it up so much.

I notice this too, but seriously, it's not a big deal. In order to fix it, talk to mojang or a really good modder that can fix it without destroying forge compatibility.

Which launcher are we talking about here? Mine doesn't take focus off my other programs.
When first starting the FTB launcher forces screen focus first when forge is loading and then again when it finishes. After that once it gets far enough along in loading(at least for me) you're unable to minimize the window at all, which can be annoying if you play fullscreen.

Well it makes sense to me that a program would take focus when you launch it (... even if it truly doesn't for me - if I've switched to my browser while waiting for the taskbar icon to appear, then said icon will just sit there and flash like a good little icon), but I still suspect we're talking about different launchers. From when I start mine to when Minecraft has finished loading (inclusive), it doesn't take focus.

I have a memory that having Minecraft set to full-screen mode did indeed affect this somewhat. I usually play it in a window, but on those occasions I want to use the whole display I use F12 instead of using the setting in video options or where ever it is. But that's a Minecraft thing, not a launcher thing, yes?

Windows 7 Home 32bit, FTB Launcher v1.2.7.

Same launcher but 64 bit windows 7 Home. It could indeed be an issue with the way minecraft handles fullscreen/maximized.

I believe it is, if you right click your taskbar and click 'show desktop' this will minimise the launcher properly while loading.
