Launcher dosen't detect OpenJDK Java JRE and won't install

If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

You need to sort that out on your end.

I still would recommend that you use oracle java for running Minecraft, there's a bunch of different issues that comes with the open ones - and you're pretty much on your own figuring out what's causing it and how to solve the issue.

Is there a specific reason that you don't want to use oracle java?

First of all you should mention which launcher you are using and state your operating system.

With amount of given information there is nothing we can do.
