Launcher crashes before I can even get in the game.

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title:
Launcher crashes before I can even get in the game.
Launcher Version:
1.4.7
Modpack:
Crash Landing
Modpack Version:
1.1.3
Log Link:
Details of the issue:
I have absolutely no idea what happened. All I know, is that it's something to do with Java. Crash landing was working perfectly fine earlier in the day, and the day before that. I logged out of the game around 2 PM E.S.T., and when I tried to log back on 30 minutes or so later, it wouldn't let me. I thought that restarting the game would help. Nope. All it does now is crash harder than the spaceship itself in crash landing. No amount of force restarting or RAM allocating helped.

I imagine it might be something wrong with the version of Java I have. But, I can't find an older 64 bit version for some reason. If for some reason the 'Log link' didn't give the link to the crash report, then here it is: http://pastebin.com/3L5NX2Be

Edit: It's not the launcher. It has to be Java. Tried on two different launchers, and got the same error and crashing sequence.

Please, can somebody help? I have Java 8u51, I tried 8u40, still didn't work. Force updating doesn't work. Reinstalling the pack doesn't work. Super confused. I never had an issue like this before.

(Sorry for the double post)

It is because crash landing is 1.6.4 and java 8 does not work with that.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forum...-forge-1-6-4-1-7-2-java-8-compatibility-patch
That can help you and if you wanna run your own server let me know, I have a video explaining what to do to make a server work.
It is weird I can run all 1.6.4 client sides but as soon as I try to run a 1.6.4 server it crashes instantly.
Also here is the link to get all older versions of java and yes you must sign up.

hmmmm
There is a video just for the server.
But you need to uninstall what you have and just try a java 7 see if that works.
But if not read that guide and stuff it can work.
I have seen all if it be fixed before.
Some of the other guys on here know how to fix this stuff a bit better than me.
But do you have latest GPU drivers as well?

I'm not trying to create/make a server or anything. I'm trying to get on a server that I play. I have no experience hosting or owning servers.
EDIT: I have the latest drivers, but, I decided an easy fix. I factory reset my computer. This computer is new, so there isn't much I had to lose.
It works, now. For now... Anyhow, thank you~

Your error is related to your video card. Check for an update for it. Go to the manfacturers website to check and don't use windows update or any other method.
