Ars Magica 3 for Minecraft 1.8 will use RF as power system, essence and mana will be removed. Instead, Essence Nexi will produce RF and machines such as the Essence Refiner will run off RF. Spells will use energy from flux capacitors in the inventory, or alternatively, the spell book will have an internal RF storage.
Also, skill points will no longer be blue, green and red but instead leadstone, hardened, reinforced and resonant.
"I'm very proud of that decision. There are still some mods that aren't part of the RF master race though: for instance, Reika and WayOfTime can take a leaf out of my book. It would be very beneficial for their mods if they switched to Redstone Flux as their primary power system as well. I suggest boycotting every mod that doesn't use RF yet", stated Mithion.
