Large-scale lighting/spawn-prevention mods?

I find that everything looks awful offset half a block. Also quite hard to do outside.

I've seen it done well. Your whole build doesn't have to be slabbed if you do minimal lighting in full block areas.
There's also carpet now. Looks great inside.


One great mod that helped me with loghting is Carpenter's Blocks. Light passes through. Carpenter's block so i place a jack o lantern 2 blocks down, place the Carpenter block above it and right click the block with a floor block. My floor jn my temp house looks normal but is fully lit from the floor. No torches, lamps or anything. I've done yhe same to my path outside
