Hi guys, I absolutely love what you have done with the mod pack. However, my laptop seems to not have sufficient power to run it smoothly enough.
Now I can play the game yes, but I do get large spikes where my FPS drops (I believe due to lack of RAM possibly?) and I was wondering how I could improve this. I can go from anywhere near like 30ish down to 1-2fps.
I've installed optifine and also drop all of the settings down the bare minimum - Render distance one above tiny however as I like to see more than a foot infront of my face.
I'm using an Acer Aspire 5551 which has the following specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 processor P320 (2.1 GHz)
Ram: 3GB DDR3
HDD: 320GB
Video: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
I was curious as to if setting up a dual boot system for Win7 as my main, and Win XP Pro for gaming (mainly Minecraft) would improve my game play. I would love to start playing online but with the way it runs currently I can't play on a single player server let alone a multi server (Not sure if this would also help by having the world gen etc loaded off my system?)
Any advice you could give me to boost my current gaming performance would be great a help. I tend to play the Direwolf20 pack, but not sure again if the Lite pack would help also.
